Alysia Montano 34 Weeks pregnant, ran the 800 meters in the U.S. Track and Field Championships, June 2014.

As a veteran runner I can understand the desire to continue doing something that you love. I began running in elementary school, middle school, high school, college and while in the military and I enjoyed every moment of it. Running while pregnant brought me the most joy because I felt my daughter enjoyed it as well. Staying in shape is another challenge when you have a baby in your belly, but the joy is well worth it.

I would not advice and beginner to jump out on the road, but if you have been running for a while and the DOCTOR tell you that it is okay for you and the baby. Then go on ahead. Remember you are not alone and SAFETY is number one for you and your child. If running is something you are unable to do, do not get discourage because there are plenty of other exercise available for you to do. Enjoy and stay blessed.
